He received his medical degree from the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School (formerly Rutgers Medical School) in an accelerated dual-degree BA/MD program. He then completed an internship in General Surgery, followed by a residency in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDMJ).
